From the old to the new
It has been a little over a year since the old house was
taken down.
All the wood from the old house is gone and recycled into
craft projects, new flooring and walls for houses, barns, sheds and retail
stores. The furniture has all been sold and refinished or left as it was,
becoming new furniture for others.
Most of the glassware has been sold except for a few pieces.
A few memorabilia items still remain. These are available for sale at:
along with other items from new projects.
The old house sat on 130 acres of land. These acres were what
was left of a larger ranch that once raised cattle and grew almonds. The land
had been in the family since the 1800's. The couple that owned the land back in
the1800’s is buried on the land under a tree.
Where Josh took down the old house a new house has been
built and a new family starts their life.
The story of the old house on this blog is over. But this
blog will continue with the new projects we have been doing, some with equally
interesting stories.
So stay tuned.
