Before and After

Before and After

This  oak dresser was in the work shop.  The drawers were painted green and the rest painted white the knobs are glass. I forgot to take pictures before Kenny started to strip it. He stripped most of it.  Josh finished stripping it, sanded and refinished it.  The dresser is now in the guest room.
It turned out beautiful

The Horns

The workshop had many hidden treasures. We found several phonograph horns for Victor, Columbia, Victrola and Edison machines. There were horns of all sizes. Some of the horns were made of brass, tin, and other metals. Some were almost like papier mâché.
Some were in good condition and others were not, but they all were valuable with some fetching prices into the hundred dollar range.
To restore an original takes a lot of skill and work.
Here are some pictures of some of the horns.

The Workshop

The Workshop
Josh was contacted by a man who wanted his father’s old workshop cleaned out and demolished. The shop was built in 1963.
The workshop was full of old wood, woodworking tools, workbenches, nails, screws, cabinet and door hardware, old radios, Victrola parts, furniture  as well as many other items that will be featured in this blog.
The sawdust was thick on the floor, but the items we uncovered turned out to be educational and full of surprises.
It also led to another project that will be featured on this blog.
More to follow on the workshop.
